Chocolate Protein Shake

I have a real love for anything related to fitness and food. I wanted to create something which can be made if you are a regular gym goer wanting to help your sore muscles after your workout or give you some energy before your workout. However, I also wanted to create something which can be for people trying to get a healthier lifestyle whilst still craving those sweet indulgences.



x 1 Banana

25g of chocolate brownie whey protein (optional)

x1 Tablespoon (g) of 0% Fat Free Greek yoghurt

1/4 Teaspoon of cinnamon

x1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder or x2 Tablespoons if you are not putting the chocolate brownie protein in

100ml unsweetened almond milk

3 large cubes of ice

Blender – I brought mine from home bargains, it was only £12.99!


  1. First chop the banana up into small chunks and put that into the blender.
  2. Put all the powder ingredients into the blender such as the protein powder, cocoa powder and the cinnamon.
  3. Put in the rest of the liquid ingredients such as the almond milk, the Greek yoghurt and the ice cubes.
  4. Blend together making sure all the ingredients are all mixed up!

There you have it! Your healthy chocolate protein shake.

This shake is full of nutrients and energy that will keep you going throughout the day. Adding the banana will provide you with energy and slow releasing carbohydrates which means it will keep you fuller for a longer period of time aswell as making it a thicker consistency. This shake also provides you with about 25g of protein from the Protein Powder and the Greek yoghurt and which is crucial for building muscle mass, repairing tissues and aiding in digestion. Personally I don’t like peanut butter but I know that it could definitely be added into this shake, it is a great source of protein and healthy fats! The cinnamon and cocoa powder is mainly for flavour, you could leave these out if you wanted to. You could also use normal milk if you didn’t want to use almond milk.

Approx: 255 Kcal 4.5g Fat 27g Carbs 25g Protein
